What we keep, and who sees it.
What we keep
Your name, your .edu email and the school you typed when you signed up. Once you have an account: the plans you post or join, messages in a plan's group chat, and a profile photo if you add one. Your password is held by our login provider; we never see it.
Who sees it
Only verified students at your own school. They can see your first name, photo, the plans you post and join, and your place on the Pulse leaderboard. You can hide your name from the leaderboard on your profile. Group chats are only visible to the people going to that plan. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
Location
We don't track where you are. A plan's place is put on the map from the address the host types. Photos are shrunk on your phone before upload, which also strips any location stored in the picture.
Emails
We email you to confirm your address, to reset your password, and about plans you're in (someone joined, it moved, it was cancelled). You can turn plan emails off on your profile. No newsletters, and we never sell or share your address.
Where it's stored
With a few trusted service providers that host the app, handle sign-in and send our emails. They only process it to run simio, and never for their own purposes.
Deleting it
Email hello@simio.space from your .edu address and we'll delete your account and everything above.
